URBAN FOCUS® promotes a careful and methodical approach to assisting public & private sector clients and to supporting organizations in their efforts to better their neighborhoods.

Established in 2007, URBAN FOCUS® is a woman owned company, with locations in Washington DC and New Orleans. URBAN FOCUS® was created to support conscientious, complex and viable redevelopment that serves the market and the community. Our expertise is in residential, commercial and mixed-use development. Our careful preparation during project acquisition and pre-development planning including early programming, team development and financially feasibility creates strong and organized projects.  We provide technical assistance in all areas of the development process and at all scales of redevelopment. We recognize and thrive in solving complex challenges in the development process to make positive impacts for our clients. 

 

URBAN FOCUS® LOUISIANA is a Certified WBE per the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program through Louis Armstrong International Airport and Orleans Parish and a Small and Emerging Business Enterprise with Louisiana Economic Development and a Small Entrepreneurship Hudson Initiative. URBAN FOCUS® Louisiana is also a certified DBE in Georgia, Florida, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Maryland.

DEVELOPMENT

URBAN FOCUS® acts as the fee developer and represents the owner through the management and orchestration of the technical aspects of the real estate development process from early stage conceptual programming to issuance of an occupancy permit and throughout the development process. We are the objective advocate, identifying opportunities and potential liabilities, to create the best project for our client.

FINANCE

URBAN FOCUS® evaluates financial opportunities, creates banking relationships and public/private partnerships, as well as identifies alternative resources to seek debt and equity financing. URBAN FOCUS® prepares feasibility studies, evaluates development opportunities and administers debt and public funds for our clients, big and small. We assist in the structuring of acquisitions and dispositions and find potential joint ventures, whether public or private.

POLICY

URBAN FOCUS® works with municipalities, providing analysis and recommendations to support the creation of sound policy through community engagement and analysis of community development infrastructure. As an advocate for the provision or affordable housing and the development of small and local businesses, we consistently partner with advocacy groups to create and support stronger public policy.
